12% vols

Service temperature:  10-12°C

Grapes: Passerina
Type of wine: Dry white

In the second half of September.
Winemaking:

A great classic white wine from the hills of Piceno, unique for its fresh taste with intense notes of white flowers and yellow fruit.

CasalFarneto Passerina comes from the hillside of Ascoli Piceno province, on a hard clayey soil with southwest exposure. The process of “vinification” involves a soft pressing of the clusters and a subsequent thermo-controlled fermentation. The refining phase takes three months in steel and one month in bottle.

Colour: Straw yellow.
Perfume: Characteristic odour of this variety of wine, quite intense and persistent of white flowers and yellow fruit.
Flavour: It is an elegant wine, greatly pleasant with a typical varietal taste, quite soft, well acidic, fresh, balanced and harmonious.

Pairings:
As an aperitif, with fish dishes and vegetable soups, cheeses of medium consistency and with classic “Oliva Ascolana del Piceno” (breaded olives stuffed with meat).
