From the hills of Piceno, an intense wine, rich in history, CasalFarneto Pecorino is fresh, mineral, balanced and harmonious. In this DOC white personality and tradition meet preserving the vineyard’s typicality.

The vineyard is located on the hillside of Ascoli Piceno province. Soil has a clayey consistency and a southeast exposure. “Vinification” takes place through a soft pressing of the clusters and a subsequent thermo-controlled fermentation. Refinement process takes three months in steel and at least two months in bottle.

Colour: Intense straw yellow.
Perfume: Typical varietal smell, quite intense and persistent of white fruit and flowers, acacia and broom.
Flavour: It is a wine of great varietal expression. In the mouth, taste confirms the smell sensations developing in balance between freshness and savour. It is fine, persistent and slightly bitter on the ending.

Pairings:
With seafood and shellfish, fish based first courses, white meats, seasoned cheeses, sausages and classic “Oliva Ascolana del Piceno” (breaded olives stuffed with meat)

It is the traditional harvest, taking place in the months of September and October, allowing a harvesting with the right balance of sugar and acids in the wine produced.
